Insurity To Become a PRC Subsidiary
In order to provide end-to-end commercial lines processingfrom quotes and policy issuance tosubsequent transactions for carriers, MGAs and agents over the InternetProgramming Resources Co. (PRC, Hartford) has entered into an agreement to acquire Insurity Solutions (Cumming, GA), which will operate as a PRC subsidiary.
"We are merging PRC's and Insurity's management teams together because we are going to be selling the same product," explains Jeffrey Glazer, president, PRC. "This merger is so synergistic because PRC has a rating and policy system that supports all states and commercial lines of business, while Insurity has a Web-based application that does initial quoting over the Internet."
The combined product, according to Glazer, is different from many other quoting and issuance products which, after providing users with a quote, require that they re-enter all the information in order to continue on with policy issuance.
The Insurity acquisition is the second recent acquisition made by PRC, which previously acquired VIS'N Service Corp. (Red Wing, MN).
