Introducing I&T’s Elite 8 of 2012
Every year I&T honors eight outstanding senior insurance carrier technology executives for their successful use of technology to support their company’s business objectives. I&T’s editors are delighted to introduce this year’s honorees who have made a difference at companies in the P&C, life and health insurance sectors.
The Elite 8 are selected at the end of a months-long process of collecting and reviewing nominations from industry analysts, vendors, insurance carrier colleagues and anybody else who might feel moved to call for the recognition of a technology executive’s outstanding contributions. Some have driven especially noteworthy initiatives in the last year or so; some have demonstrated longer records of success. Studying these executive accomplishments and getting to know them through interviews is a highlight of the year for I&T’s editors, and we hope you might catch some of our enthusiasm reflected in the profiles that we’ll publish this week.
Selection of the Elite 8 is also bittersweet process in that, in the end, we can only recognize eight of the many interesting and effective executives who are nominated. We congratulate those who made the cut this year, and we encourage advocates of those who didn’t to consider renominating them next year.
Every year we enlist the help of distinguished industry observers to help us evaluate the merits of nominees and to vote for the Elite 8 Award winners. We’d like to thank those who graciously took the trouble to participate in the process this year:
