Jackson National Life Opens New IT Center, Adds Staff

Lansing, Mich.-based Jackson National Life Insurance Company has opened a new information technology center and added 20 new systems and programming staff at its Franklin, Tenn. regional office.
The expanded IT operations will support Jackson initiatives such as automated business processes. The new positions are mostly concentrated in Internet development and document systems programming activities, as well as Java programming, network administration and other infrastructure-related areas.
“The expansion will allow us to recruit from the Middle Tennessee area and the southeast region to find the skilled professionals necessary to build and maintain the complex technologies that provide Jackson with a competitive advantage,” says Mark Clark, SVP and CIO of Jackson. "Our senior management team recognizes the importance of fostering technical innovation to continue to serve the needs of our customers and distribution partners in a proactive and efficient fashion.”
