John Hancock Names New Head of U.S. Life Insurance
Boston-based John Hancock has named Michael Doughty EVP and GM of U.S. Life Insurance. He replaces Steve Finch, who has assumed the role of CFO for John Hancock corporate.
Doughty has been with Manulife, John Hancock's Toronto-based parent company, since 1992, most recently serving as EVP of individual insurance for its Canadian division.
"I am very pleased to have Michael join our U.S. leadership team. He is a talented executive with both deep and broad experience in the financial services industry," Jim Boyle, president of John Hancock, says in a statement. "He brings a unique perspective to the U.S. life insurance business, which will prove useful as we continue to build new products and services for our customers and distributors across the United States."
