Main Street America Names New SVP for Product Operations

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Main Street America Group has promoted Steve Peeters to senior vice president in charge of its product operations.

He had led the company's commercial lines business since joining in February, a role in which he will continue. Peeters reports to chairman and CEO Tom Van Berkel.

Before joining Main Street America, Peeters was president and COO of Zurich Insurance Services, also based in Jacksonville.

“To build upon the synergies of Main Street America’s product teams, we are aligning all of our company’s profit centers under Steve’s direction,” Van Berkel says in a statement. “Our new centralized structure will enable us to enhance our coordination and communication amongst all of our product teams, ensuring that we remain well-positioned to sustain profitable growth and continue to serve our independent agent-customers, and their customers, better than anyone else in a very challenging property-casualty marketplace.”
