MedBen Selects Verisk Platform for Risk
Newark, Ohio-based health carrier MedBen will use the Sightlines Medical Intelligence platform from Waltham, Mass.-based Verisk Health to help assess, manage and report risk.
MedBen will use the web-based predictive modeling and data analytics program to analyze existing claims data to identify and report on quality and cost metrics. Specifically, it will use Sightlines to understand cost and utilization drivers, determine medical and pharmacy cost saving opportunities, identify gaps in care and disease burden, benchmark clinical, financial and utilization metrics and facilitate employer reporting.
"The Verisk Health solution will enable us to help our clients identify risks and develop strategies to reduce health risk and spending while maximizing the overall value of their benefit programs," Doug Freeman, president and CEO of MedBen, says in a statement.
