MetLife Enhances Absence Management Tool
New York-based MetLife, which offers the MetLife Total Absence Management tool to its benefits customers with more than 1,000 employees, has added additional online capabilities to that tool.
HR managers now have access to more real-time information, the carrier claims. In addition, it features expanded online leave submission capabilities for both employers and employees; automatic email notifications for managers; and greater tracking and reporting insights including operational, productivity and analytical reports.
MetLife has also introduced a new online resource for employers, Return to Work Online, offering tips, case studies, a guide and links to other resources to help employers create an effective return-to-work program for employees after disability-related absences.
"We are pleased to be able to offer enhancements to our state of the art leave administration system that make it easier for employers to understand the absences impacting their workforce and the bottom line, and help facilitate their employees’ safe and timely return to work experience and maximize workforce productivity,” Paul Taylor, VP of disability product management at MetLife, says in a statement.
