MetLife Vet Named CIO of CNO

Bradley Bodell has been hired as SVP and CIO of CNO Financial, after a stint at MetLife.

Carmel, Ind.-based CNO Financial Group has added Bradley Bodell as SVP and CIO. Bodell will report to Bruce Baude, EVP and Chief Operations and Technology Officer, when he starts on July 15.

"Brad is a proven leader who brings a business focus to technology solutions," Baude said in a statement. "He has a wealth of experience in strategy, application development, system architecture, and offshore development. He's a problem-solver who has a keen understanding of the role of technology in the insurance industry. We are delighted to have him join our leadership team."

Bodell last served as VP of Global Technology & Operations for MetLife, a company he joined in 2000. He also has worked at KPMG and IBM.

Bodell takes over for Todd Coombes, who had been CIO of CNO since 2010.
