Millers Mutual Chooses Online Rating and Quoting Solution

Harrisburg, Pa.-based Millers Mutual Group, a regional property and casualty insurer, has selected Duck Creek (Bolivar, Mo.) Rating as its online rating and quoting solution, according to a Duck Creek press release.

The deal is part of Millers Mutual's larger IT infrastructure modernization effort, a project that utilizes pre-built Duck Creek Commercial Lines Templates and a bureau-based content maintenance service, the vendor says. Those templates include state specific policy-rating rules and tables that are set to be implemented by the carrier for all lines of business, with plans to start with its business owner's policy lines.

The modern .NET architecture enables us the needed flexibility in leveraging our current proprietary ISO programs, coupled with giving us the opportunity to modify insurance products for the future. The bureau-based content maintenance service allows us to streamline our bureau rate adoption process and increase our efficiency," Larry Fortin, CIO of Millers Mutual Group, said in the press release.

The Duck Creek Rating implementation will represent the second phase of the modernization effort, which focuses on offering independent agents the ability to quickly communicate and rapidly process business with the carrier.
