Missouri Employers Mutual Adds Guidewire Policy Admin and Billing Services
Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance (MEM; Columbia, Mo.) will implement Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter. The company has already deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter.
All three applications are part of the Guidewire Insurance Suite, which provides P&C systems either individually or as a set. PolicyCenter is an underwriting and policy administration program that streamlines insurers’ front and back office processes, from new business submission and quoting through policy renewals, according to Guidewire. BillingCenter allows insurers to manage billing by automating the billing lifecycle; designing flexible billing, payment and delinquency plans; managing agent commissions; and enabling rapid integration with external payment systems, the company adds.
MEM’s is in the midst of a five-year strategic IT plan, focusing on aligning customer and system architectures to work more efficiently and cost effectively, according to Michael Foerst, CIO and VP of information services.
"Our Guidewire ClaimCenter project went so smoothly that when it came time for us to look for new policy administration and billing systems our first thought was to look to Guidewire to see how they could help," Foerst says in a statement.
