Mitchell International Acquires Collision Repair Photo Management Vendor

Mitchell International, a San Diego-based provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the P&C claims and collision repair industries, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired ClaimTools Solutions, a Vancouver-based digital camera and photo management solutions provider for collision repair centers, automotive dealerships and auto glass facilities.

ClaimTools enables insurance carriers to share photos with repair partners as well as their subrogation and SIU areas, Mitchell says. As a result of the acquisition, ClaimTools' photo management technology will become a part of RepairCenter, a next generation repair-focused collaborative workspace Mitchell intends to launch in early November.

"We are extremely excited about the value that combining ClaimTools photo management technology with Mitchell's existing portfolio brings to our collision repair and insurance customers," Jesse Herrera, senior vice president, product management and marketing for Mitchell International, said in a press release. "ClaimTools fits perfectly as an integrated component of Mitchell RepairCenter and WorkCenter by eliminating the time consuming and manual processes of managing digital photos."
