Nationwide CTO Srinivas Koushik Resigns
Nationwide (Columbus) chief technology officer and CIO of shared applications Srinivas Koushik has resigned to pursue another opportunity. Nationwide has appointed Guru Vasudeva to assume the CTO role, effective Feb. 1. Koushik declines to comment on his new role at this time.
Koushik had held a variety of senior technology roles at Nationwide, including CTO and later CIO of its property/casualty operations. Upon his return to the CTO role in 2010, he also took on responsibility for shared application services, master data management, customer file, business analytics, Nationwide’s service-oriented architecture infrastructure, and all of the company’s collaboration tools and social networking components. He was recognized as one of Insurance & Technology's Elite 8 technology officers in 2003 and has been a member of the media brand's Reader Advisory Board.
After his departure, Koushik says that Vasudeva will assume the traditional CTO duties, and the other responsibilities Koushik held would be divided between two areas: the master data management, business analytics components of his job will move into Nationwide’s corporate applications functions, and the collaboration aspects would be moving back into Nationwide’s infrastructure and collaboration area, he says.
