Nationwide to Open San Antonio Corporate Facility

New sales and service operations facility, which will add approximately 800 jobs to Nationwide's local presence, is planned for completion in 2012.

Nationwide (Columbus, Ohio) has entered into a contract to purchase land for the location of a new corporate facility in San Antonio, according to a Nationwide news release. The facility, to be located in Westover Hills, will be a growth location for Nationwide's sales and service operations.

Nationwide hopes to close on the land deal by the end of 2010. The carrier plans to begin construction early 2011 and complete the facility in 2012. Nationwide has not yet determined what construction costs will be, but says it will add about 800 jobs to its existing workforce of about 1,000.
