BCBSA TAPS SPRINT
Sprint (Overland Park, Kan.) expanded its relationship with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to provide additional services to BCBS plans, including Sprint Email Protection Services, an anti-spam program; VoIP services; and a solution to secure the data network and customer information for regulatory compliance.

Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Michigan (Lansing) selected GT Software's (Atlanta) tcACCESS, VisualConnect and vcEmulator solutions to enhance its legacy applications. The software provides real-time direct data access, browser-based terminal emulation and Web enablement.

First American Title Insurance (Santa Ana, Calif.) deployed new HP (Palo Alto, Calif.) Integrity Superdome servers to maximize data processing capabilities. The solution improves First American's FAST Transaction settlement services system by decreasing processing time.
WORKERS' COMP CLAIMS
Montana State Fund (Helena, Mont.), the state's largest workers' compensation insurer, selected Guidewire's (San Mateo, Calif.) ClaimCenter solution as its new claims system. The solution allows MSF to increase collaboration with partners and deliver more information over the Internet.

Health Alliance Medical Plans (Urbana, Ill.) signed a contract to use MEDai's (Orlando, Fla.) Risk Navigator Clinical predictive modeling solution to identify high-risk individuals and gaps in their care. The model provides specific recommendations for care managers based upon set guidelines.

Pacific Life (Newport Beach, Calif.) selected the Records Management Software Program from Irvine, Calif.-based Accutrac to support compliance and record retention requirements. The solution manages records throughout their life cycle and helps determine which to destroy and when.
