New Great-West Life App Lets Members Submit Insurance Claims
Great-West Life (Winnipeg) has introduced GroupNet Mobile, a mobile application that gives registered members of the carrier's GroupNet for Plan Members online service channel the ability to submit healthcare claims online and provides them with the location of the nearest healthcare providers with access to Great-West Life's eClaims through a built in GPS-based mapping tool. The app is designed for use with Apple iPhone and iPod touch mobile digital devices.
"GroupNet Mobile responds to the growing number of smart phone owners who use mobile devices to manage a wide range of personal information," comments Brad Fedorchuk, VP of group marketing, Great-West Life. "This app builds on the convenience of GroupNet for Plan Members, which brings together the information and tools plan members need in a secure, easy-to-use website."
Great-West Life says that GroupNet Mobile enhances the carrier's existing suite of eClaims services - Member eClaims, Provider eClaims and Health SolutionsPlus - which allows plan members and healthcare providers to manage claims and accounts online without filing paper forms.
The introduction of GroupNet Mobile follows the company's launch in 2011 of DrugHub, an app that allows consumers to manage their prescription medications wherever they are. Both can be downloaded free from the App Store online store.
