New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud Elects 2010 Officers and Board of Directors

The New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud (NYAAIF, New York) elected its 2010 officers and board of directors at the alliance's Annual Meeting on December 3. The following officers were elected by the board of directors for a one-year term ending Dec. 31, 2010:

Chair: John Sargent, director special investigation unit, MetLife Auto & Home Vice Chair: Jim Berrigan, special investigations unit manager, Crum & Forster Insurance Treasurer: Jack Houston, special investigations unit manager, New York Automobile Insurance Plan Secretary: Kevin O'Connor, special investigations unit manager, Interboro Insurance President: Ellen Melchionni, CAE, president, New York Insurance Association

The following directors were elected for three-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2012: Harvey Aloni, VP of claims, AutoOne Insurance Co.; Sharyl Derenthal, special investigative unit manager, Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO); Dennis Jay, executive director, Coalition Against Insurance Fraud; Kenneth Jones, VP, Travelers Investigative Services, Travelers; James Potts, Jr., VP special investigations, New York Central Mutual Fire Insurance Co.; Francis X. Sztuk, national special investigative unit manager, Hanover Insurance Group.
