New York Life Announces Two Tech Appointments
New York Life announced two technology appointments today.
Cara-Anne Gagliano has been made an SVP in charge of information technology strategy and all application development for life products in the company's insurance group. She reports to insurance CIO Susan Paternoster. Gagliano last worked at Nomura Securities International as global COO for equities technology, where she had global responsibility for business analysis, project governance, risk and control, and overall financial management.
In addition, Don Desiderato, former Novarica analyst, was formally introduced as senior managing director and CTO in the Investments Group, reporting to John Kim, president of the Investments Group. He is responsible for the retirement administration, distribution and marketing, investment operations and warehouse platforms, along with infrastructure services and business/IT risk management.
