News from 2009 ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum: Thunderhead Unveils NOW 5.0.

Thunderhead (Hertfordshire, UK) has unveiled Thunderhead NOW 5.0, the latest version of its customer communications platform.

Thunderhead NOW is a document generation solution that aims to leverage its open, standards-based technology to put business users, as opposed to IT professionals, in control of creating and maintaining customer communications. It includes support for electronic channels such as e-mail, SMS text message and industry standard XML formats like DTCC Deriv/SERV and ACORD XML, according to a press release.

The latest version of the solution introduces two modules. Contribute NOW is a Web-based solution that seeks to enable non-technical users across the enterprise to quickly and easily develop new content and business rules for Thunderhead communications. The Analyze NOW module, meanwhile, is a set of analytical tools designed to give management professionals insight into their customer communications.

"To fulfill our vision of Thunderhead NOW as a true enterprise platform, we recognized that providing comprehensive management information functionality was a strategic imperative," Thunderhead CEO Glen Manchester said in the press release.
