Northwestern Mutual Names Zore Chairman, Makes Other Senior Appointments
The board of trustees of Northwestern Mutual (Milwaukee) has elected Ed Zore chairman and named John E. Schlifske president, effective March 31. Zore will retain his responsibilities as CEO.
The company announced several other appointments, effective June 30.
Greg Oberland, currently executive vice president, insurance and technology, will oversee all risk and investment products and services.
With Oberland's assumption of new duties, Jean M. Maier, currently senior vice president of enterprise operations will take on the additional responsibility of overseeing Northwestern's information systems department.
Gary A. "Skip" Poliner, executive vice president, investment products and services, was elected to Northwestern's board of trustees and also named chief risk officer and given overall responsibility for corporate finance.
Marcia Rimai, currently executive vice president and chief administrative officer will become the company's chief compliance officer.
