Outsourced Claims Services

To assist insurers with claims services, Melville, N.Y.-based AutoOne Insurance, a unit of the OneBeacon Insurance Group (Boston; $10 billion in total assets) that specializes in assigned risk services for automobile insurance, launched AutoOne Claim Services. The full-service claim operation will provide outsourced claim services to companies that are outside of the New York market or need claims processing assistance, according to AutoOne.

"We have a strong reputation in the industry because of our high-quality claims applications, and we saw the opportunity to share those services with other organizations," explains Dennis Termotto, assistant vice president of auto claims services for AutoOne. Services available include vehicle inspections and appraisals, claim handling, special investigative services and filing of state- mandated fraud prevention compliance plans.

AutoOne Claim Services employs ADP's (Roseland, N.J.) Web-based Managed Repair Solutions to dispatch assignments to field adjusters, and create and upload reports. The insurer plans to expand its claim services into New Jersey later this year. --Maria Woehr
