Patriot National Names Charles Schuver President and COO of Guarantee Insurance Company

The former Arch Insurance and RSA executive will retain his responsibility as chief underwriting officer of Patriot National's specialty workers' comp subsidiary Guarantee Insurance.

Patriot National Insurance Group (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) has appointed Charles K. Schuver president and chief operating officer of its subsidiary Guarantee Insurance Company. Schuver was previously chief underwriting officer of Guarantee Insurance Company and will retain that responsibility. In his new role, Schuver, a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, will oversee all operations of Guarantee Insurance Company, a specialty workers' compensation insurer also based in Fort Lauderdale.

Prior to joining Patriot National in May 2008, Schuver was corporate underwriting executive at Arch Insurance Group (New York), and has held senior positions at Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA, London/Charlotte, N.C.).
