Allmerica Selects NaviSys To Enhance Sales Growth

To complement an aggressive growth strategy, Allmerica Financial will use NaviSys Front Office illustration software to strengthen its new business acquisition processes.

To complement an aggressive growth strategy, Worcester, MA-based Allmerica Financial, a diversified financial services company that offers variable life and annuity products and property-and-casualty coverages, will use NaviSys (Edison, NJ) Front Office illustration software to strengthen its new business acquisition processes.

Allmerica, which has been a client of NaviSys for over a decade, also uses NaviSys Home Office for life product development and policy administration, reports John Gorman, executive vice president of sales and marketing, NaviSys. "The two products," Home Office and Front Office, "are very well integrated," he says. "The products are designed to be purchased separately, so they are easily integrated" when a company purchases the components separately, as Allmerica did. The NaviSys Front Office suite includes Web-based sales illustration, application entry, underwriting and customer service components.

The integration capability is important, according to Barbara Maietta, vice president, marketing development, Allmerica, because "using Front Office illustration, we will be able to easily implement other Internet-based solutions down the road, as well as initiate straight-through processing to our home office system."

Maietta adds, "When we decided to bring in a new illustration system, we looked carefully at several different providers before choosing NaviSys as our partner. NaviSys offers strong experience in developing and implementing illustration systems. This solution is an excellent complement to our aggressive growth strategy."

"The illustration capability is very important as Allmerica is looking to drive policy growth," Gorman says. "The producer can write more business faster." According to Gorman, Allmerica first approached NaviSys about Front Office early last fall.
