Argo Group Signs Instec for Policy Admin
San Antonio, Texas-based Argo Group US has selected the Quicksolver software from Naperville, Ill.-based Instec for rating and policy administration.
The specialty P&C carrier began rolling out Quicksolver in 2009 for all its major commercial lines, including businessowners, commercial auto, workers' compensation, and its commercial package featuring property, general liability, inland marine and crime coverage. It is also using Quicksolver in its Alteris division.
“In a very competitive business environment, speed to market for product delivery is critical," Richard Jolly, VP and CIO of commercial specialty for Argo Group, says in a statement. "Our Argo Select business unit needed the ability to quickly roll out new products and make changes to existing products with minimal reliance on a vendor. Quicksolver has played a key role in moving us in that direction.”
Quicksolver electronically transmits Argo’s transaction-level policy information to the various workers compensation data collection organizations including the National Council on Compensation Insurance and other independent data bureaus, according to a statement. Quicksolver has also been integrated via web services into Argo internal systems, allowing several of the Argo legacy policy systems to be retired — a major goal of the implementation, Argo says.
