Bear River Mutual Chooses StoneRiver Policy and Billing Solutions

Utah-based P&C carrier sees the solutions as key in preparing infrastructure in support of growth objectives.

Bear River Mutual Insurance, a Murray, Utah-based provider of auto, home, fire and umbrella coverage, has licensed StoneRiver's (Oakland, CAlif.) Policy STAR and FAB Billing solutions.

The implementation of what StoneRiver touts as "ultra-configurable systems for policy administration and billing," are key to preparing Bear River's infrastructure to support business expansion goals, according to the carrier's CEO, Don Adams. "Our objectives include becoming easier to do business with from an agent's perspective and writing business more quickly," he comments.

The Policy STAR and FAB solutions handle both personal and commercial lines of business. Policy STAR automates policy administration from quoting through policy issuance, according to a StoneRiver news release. Capabilities include a robust configuration tool based on what the vendor calls the deep function within Policy STAR that enables faster implementations and helps insurers meet the needs of specific jurisdictions.
