News from 2009 ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum: CGI Releases New Policy and Claims Administration Solution

CGI Edge, a new policy and claims administration solution for the P&C market from CGI Group Inc. (Montreal), uses a Web-based architecture, based on the .NET framework and corporate Web 2.0 technology. CGI Edge offers a single role-based user interface for agents and carrier users. Available components include policy, claims, rating, automated underwriting, billing, reporting and analytics, document automation, workflow and imaging. It is offered under a variety of models, including licensed software, software as a service or as a platform for business process services provided by CGI. "Using CGI Edge, our customers can streamline their operations by automating workflows in a paperless environment, lower costs, and time to enter new markets," said Gordon Gaar, VP Global Insurance Sector, CGI, in a statement.
