One Shield Expands Domestic and Offshore Facilities

OneShield Inc. (Westborough, Mass), developer of the OneShield Dragon policy administration solution for P&C insurers, has expanded its North American headquarters and its Gurgaon, India development team in order to meet increased demand.

The vendor recently took on new clients, including a large, Connecticut-based speciality and surplus lines carrier and The Dominion of Canada, as well as expanded implementations within its existing client base.

"OneShield's continued growth underscores the ongoing push by carriers to modernize, starting with their core systems," comments Chad Hersh, principal with Novarica's insurance practice. "With a large majority of insurers looking to their software providers to help implement solutions, those providers must attract and retain top talent on a continuous basis."

OneShield's Westborough, Massachusetts corporate headquarters location houses the majority of the firm's development, sales and service staff, and the company has added sales and marketing staff in the southeast U.S. and on the west coast, according to a OneShield statement. The vendor's Glastonbury, Conn. office, which focuses on professional services, and the offshore development team located in Gurgaon, India, are also experiencing tremendous growth, the statement says.
