The Dominion Licenses OneShield Dragon for Policy Management

The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company (The Dominion, Toronto) has licensed OneShield Dragon, a rules- and tools-based, data-driven policy management solution from Westborough, Mass.-based OneShield, Inc. , to handle the its policy management needs. One of Canada's oldest insurance companies, The Dominion provides a wide range of personal and commercial insurance coverages and services at competitive rates for Canadian customers. The company's rollout of OneShield Dragon is a multi-year initiative covering all product lines.

"A critical consideration for The Dominion was finding a complete, modern policy management solution that would enable us to respond to market conditions and customer expectations quickly," said Janet Babcock, The Dominion's CIO, in a statement.

"As a requirement during our Proof of Concept, The Dominion required business users to independently configure products using Dragon," added Heather Peacock, SVP, Sales and Client Services for OneShield, in a statement.
