Torus Specialty Selects Duck Creek for Policy Admin, Billing

The carrier has signed a contract for Duck Creek's solutions in order to support expansion into new lines of business.

Torus Specialty Insurance, a subsidiary of Torus Services US, has signed an agreement with Duck Creek for Duck Creek Policy Administration and Duck Creek Billing.

Torus sought a new policy administration platform that would allow the company to grow from from its initial offering of umbrella/excess lines for small commercial risks into other specialty and primary lines, according to a Duck Creek news release.

"We need technology that won't get in the way of fast, efficient delivery of our services," comments Jeff Smith, CTO, Torus Insurance. Duck Creek provides flexible and intuitive Web-enabled systems that improve the end-users' experience and can be easily configured to support new business lines as we grow."

Torus provides commercial professional and specialty insurance and reinsurance to a global base, according to the Duck Creek source.
