United America Indemnity Goes Live with New Policy Admin
United America Indemnity, an excess and surplus lines, specialty P&C insurer, has implemented a new policy administration system from Duck Creek Technologies (Bolivar, Mo.) for a number of its commercial ISO lines products, according to a press release. Duck Creek says that the carrier is now able to leverage all facets of the new policy administration system for the implemented lines of business, including ancillary benefits such as increased speed to market, improved data quality and accuracy, the elimination of manual coding and data reconciliations.
"Duck Creek's Policy Administration solutions greatly assisted us in broadening our current product portfolio. The commercial auto templates provide ISO rates, rules, forms and state requirements that actually jump-started and accelerated our implementation time," United America's chief information and administrative officer, Ed Rafter, said in the release.
United America also recently went live with its in-house developed vacant property product, branded as VacantExpress, which enables brokers nationwide to rate, quote and issue at the point of sale. Together, Duck Creek suggests, the policy admin and vacant property solutions could allow the carrier to add more products to a growing commercial excess & surplus and specialty lines portfolio.
United America Indemnity Group is based in George Town, Cayman Islands and operates several direct and indirect wholly owned subsidiary insurance companies including Diamond State Group, Penn-America Group and United National Group, which are all based in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
