Zurich Latin America Taps Accenture for Core Systems

The vendor will build and maintain underwriting, policy admin and claims systems in six Latin American countries over 10 years.

Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) has tapped Accenture (New York) to build and maintain core IT systems for the carrier's P&C business in Latin America.

The 10-year agreement will support underwriting, policy administration and claims management for both personal and commercial lines. The system will be implemented in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.

“Zurich is a long-standing client and we are honored to assist them in this core strategic initiative," says Uwe Jungmann, a senior executive in Accenture’s insurance practice, in a statement.

The companies also recently announced an agreement to implement an underwriting system in North America and Europe.
