Pyxis Mobile, Enterprise Mobile Partner to Deliver Multiplatform Enterprise Mobility Solution
Pyxis Mobile (Waltham, Mass.) and Enterprise Mobile (Watertown, Mass.) have announced a collaborative effort to deliver what the vendors term a comprehensive multiplatform enterprise mobility solution for Fortune 2000 companies, according to a joint source.
The vendors assert that the solution delivers rapid, custom mobile applications managed by outsourced lifecycle services, including Pyxis Mobile's Configure Once, Run Anywhere capabilities, which deploy one custom mobile configuration to Blackberry, iPhone and Windows Mobile devices; and Enterprise Mobile's mobility outsourced life cycle deployment and on-going management services, which the vendor source claims removes the complexities and costs associated with a mobility deployment, eases the demands on the IT organization, and provides a seamless, consistent, positive end-user mobility experience.
"Over the past few years, mobility has strengthened its presence within the enterprise and will increasingly be used not only to run the business, but also grow and transform it," writes Katja Ruud, Analyst at Gartner Research. "A comprehensive mobile strategy is required, which provides an organizational hub that is responsible for prioritization and management of important decisions, such as those on investment and ROI. Without a hub, many elements such as application development and cost could be duplicated, budgets misdirected and multiple platforms established unnecessarily. "1 "Enterprise Mobile excels at solving the challenges created by the growing use of mobility in the enterprise," says Todd Christy, president and CTO of Pyxis Mobile. "Their proven ability to simplify mobile deployments coupled with our flexible mobile application platform accelerates business and yields happy customers."
