London-based RSA Insurance Group has selected Accellion Managed File Transfer from Palo Alto, Calif-based Accellion to facilitate secure sharing of insurance contracts among its global workforce.
Accellion Secure File Transfer enables corporations and government agencies to securely send and receive files and folders up to 20 gigabytes. Encryption and business-level authentication validates recipients so confidential information remains secure, while audit trails provide the necessary tracking and reporting to demonstrate compliance, according to the company.
"We wanted to work with a market leader on managed file transfer and our own detailed evaluation confirmed the Accellion solution as capable of meeting our secure data transfer needs," Paul Corner, IS service delivery manager at RSA, says in a statement. "Since implementation we've seen tangible benefits such as quicker and more efficient exchange of data with our international operations and third party partners. The Accellion solution has been well received across our business areas, and increased demand means we're also expanding capability by exploiting the API the solution offers and integrating it directly into some of our systems."
