Safe Auto Adds Hyland in Document Management Revamp
In September, Columbus, Ohio-based Safe Auto selected Thunderhead.com to standardize document creation out of its Guidewire suite of core systems. Today, another link in the document management chain was forged when the insurer announced the selection of Hyland's OnBase enterprise content management system.
"Hyland Software was recommended to us by one of our business partners," said Mary Lorms, vice president of IT support systems for SafeAuto, in a statement. "We saw the vision for OnBase and knew it would be the best system to not only meet our current ECM needs – to capture, store and retrieve outbound policy and claims documents – but also to expand the solution as those needs change in the future."
OnBase will connect information in Safe Auto's Guidewire policy management, billing and claims systems by incorporating unstructured data and supporting documents that come in paper forms, pictures and .wav files, the companies say. The goal is to help agents retrieve quickly inbound and outbound documents from any system they are currently working in.
Those documents have already been standardized in terms of look and component by the Thunderhead.com platform.
