Scott McClintock Joins OneBeacon as CIO

The former Arch Insurance CIO fills a position left vacant by Gary Plotkin's departure in July 2011. Pet Hartman succeeds McClintock at Arch.

Specialty P&C carrier OneBeacon (Minnetonka, Minn.) has named Scott McClintock senior VP and CIO. McClintock takes the reins from Mike Natan, who came out of retirement to act as interim CIO late last year. McClintock joined OneBeacon in Dec. 2011. The insurer had been without a CIO since Gary Plotkin's departure from that role in July 2011.

McClintock was most recently senior VP and CIO of Arch Insurance -- also a specialty P&C carrier -- a role he took on in April 2004. He held other executive positions at Arch, and also at Zurich North America. Pet Hartman has succeeded McClintock as Arch's top technology officer. She currently holds the title of senior VP and deputy CIO, reporting to the carrier's chief administrative officer, Dennis R. Brand.

OneBeacon is in the process of completing its transition to specialty-only P&C insurance with its sale of AutoOne, which announced in 2011 but is yet to close.
