Security First Introduces Homeowners Insurance iPhone App

Ormond Beach, Fla.-based Security First Insurance Company has introduced Security First Mobile, a new mobile application that enables policyholders to access insurance services from their Apple iPhone.

The new application allows Security First policyholders to file a claim, locate Emergency Recovery Units, and make a premium payment from the iPhone, according to a press release. Other functionality, such as instant quoting, turn-by-turn directions to the nearest insurance agent and a hurricane preparedness checklist, are available to all Florida homeowners.

"We are committed to finding innovative ways to provide higher levels of service to homeowners throughout the State of Florida," Locke Burt, president of Security First said in the release. "The positive feedback from homeowners about our mobile site led us to develop the first iPhone application to offer Florida residents the ability to efficiently file homeowner's insurance claims from the convenience of their phone."
