Software AG Launches webMethods 8

Software AG has launched webMethods 8, the latest version of its flagship business infrastructure software suite.

Reston, Va.-based Software AG announced on Monday that it has launched webMethods 8, the latest release of its flagship business infrastructure software platform.

The latest version of webMethods includes new functionality in areas such as enterprise integration, business process management (BPM) and services-oriented architecture (SOA) governance. The vendor says that the new suite can help insurance carriers and other organizations to improve operational efficiency and time to value through effective reuse, management, and orchestration of both business and IT services.

The most recent release of webMethods features CentraSite Active SOA, a business service repository that aligns BPM and SOA within a single system or record, and embedded business intellingence (BI) capabilities to help deliver process analytics to knowledge workers.
