Storebrand Inks Volvo IT for Fund Management
Oslo, Norway-based life insurer Storebrand has tapped Stockholm, Sweden-based Volvo IT for operation of the fund-managing systems for its Swedish subsidiary, SPP.
“As far as Storebrand was concerned, Volvo IT was an extremely interesting supplier,” Knut-Olav Hoeg, purchasing director at Storebrand, says in a statement. “In the procurement process we conducted, Volvo IT demonstrated top-class skills and expertise in the operational area involved, together with flexibility as a business partner. It’s going to be really exciting to introduce Volvo IT as a player on the Norwegian IT market.”
Volvo IT will take over operations on January 31, 2011. Its existing clients include server operations at Skandia and Statens Pensionsverks, the National Swedish Government Employee Pensions Board.
