Honolulu - Decision Research Corp. introduced RateMaker Analyzer, which will be offered as an optional add-on tool for the vendor's V1STA RateMaker solution or as a stand-alone utility. The RateMaker Analyzer tool enables insurers and managing general agents to analyze their current books of business and perform "what if" tests of rate changes to determine the potential impact on their business. RateMaker Analyzer will be available with the release of Microsoft's SQL Server 2005.

The suite now can service both on-demand call center correspondence needs as well as outbound pieces generated by the back office, and includes a quality review and control subsystem that enables managers to monitor and audit the effectiveness of their customer communications easily, Napersoft says.

Lake Forest. Calif. - Bluebook International introduced InsureBASE, the largest online single source of property replacement cost data, according to the vendor. InsureBase, which is built on Microsoft .NET technology, is capable of providing detailed property information in the form of an estimated replacement cost (ERC) report for nearly 91 percent of the nation's single-family residences, Bluebook claims.

Noida, India - HCL Technologies' Global Insurance Practice unveiled two new operational efficiency solutions. Insurance Business Enabler (IBzE) is a Java/J2EE framework of components and tools that enables insurers to introduce new Java applications quickly. It includes a Business Component Library that provides the blueprint to create new business solutions. And .NET Architect+ Framework enerates Microsoft .NET framework solutions based on a chosen architectural pattern (e.g., two-tier, three-tier, n-tier, MVC, etc.). The .NetArchitect+ Framework solution offers ease of development of Web-based services, rich standard run-time services and interlanguage-intermachine operability, HCL says. Additionally, it supports a variety of programming languages.
