The Co-operators Deploy Guidewire Underwriting, Policy and Billing Systems

The Canadian carrier is working on lining up all its P&C businesses on the same systems.

Guelph, Ontario-based The Co-operators, a carrier of home, auto, life, group, travel, commercial and farm insurance, has deployed San Mateo, Calif.-based Guidewire's PolicyCenter and BillingCenter systems.

The company has used ClaimCenter since 2007 and other Guidewire systems since 2008. The selection and deployment of Guidewire's other systems is part of The Co-operator's "Common Systems" initiative, through which the carrier is deploying the same core systems across its P&C organizations. Additional project phases to deploy Guidewire InsuranceSuite to other commercial lines of business are underway.
