Think Your CIO is the Best? I&T Elite 8 Nominations Open
As unlikely as it may have seemed a couple weeks ago, spring is around the corner — which means it's time for us at I&T to reach out to our readership community and collect nominations for our annual Elite 8 awards.
This is the 16th year that I&T will recognize insurance company technologists — whether they be CIOs or line of business leaders — that have demonstrate a history of delivering innovative initiatives that have added value to the insurance business overall.
I have been with the brand for a quarter of these awards (my fourth year at I&T begins in June) and it is one of my favorite projects. Taking a deep dive into what makes the top CIOs tick helps me — and I'm sure many others — understand that insurance doesn't have to bow to its reputation for stodginess and frustrating inertia. Forward-thinking leaders both inside and outside IT departments are taking insurance companies in new and exciting directions as the industry adjusts to an ever more digital world.
This year's honorees will be recognized in our November digital issue, as well as at our Executive Summit, slated for November 9-11 at the St. Regis Bal Harbour resort in southern Florida. Be on the lookout for more information on that event.
