Todd Ellis, Chubb’s Lottery-Winning CIO of Commercial Lines, Resigns

Todd Ellis has resigned from his position as senior vice president and CIO of Chubb Commercial Lines, Insurance & Technology has confirmed. Ellis and nine of his subordinates won a $216 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot in March 2009.

According to a Chubb spokesperson, the duties of CIO of Chubb Commercial Lines have been taken on by Chubb Specialty Insurance CIO Mark Berthiaume. The source said that the carrier is not currently seeking a replacement for the Commercial Lines CIO position.

Ellis was honored as one of the insurance industry's outstanding senior technology executives with I&T's Elite 8 Award in 2004. He was featured on the cover of I&T for his work in business process re-engineering in Feb. 2007 and was a participant in I&T's Insurance Technology Strategies Executive Roundtable.
