U.K. Insurer Launches Recruitment iPhone App
Bournemouth, England-based LV=, a P&C and life insurer with 28 offices in the U.K., has launched an iPhone app for people looking for jobs at the company.
LV= says it is recruiting for "many" of its offices, mostly in its general insurance business. The launch coincides with a recruitment advertising campaign, which encourages job seekers to text pictures of its recruitment posters to the company and receive a personal phone call from an existing employee.
"We have been looking into how people are using the internet and there has been a definite increase in the number of people accessing the internet outside of the home. So it is important that LV= is able to offer a service that allows potential applicants the opportunity to find the information they want to see when they want to see it," LV= head of resourcing and development Stuart Affleck says in a statement. "As people are getting more and more tech savvy they are choosing to rely on applications to provide them with everything they need. We created an app that allows people to get up to date job information from LV= wherever they are."
LV= worked with London agency ThirtyThree to develop and build the app.
