United Insurance Appoints New VP and CIO

United Insurance Holdings (UPC), headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., has appointed Andre Swenson as VP and CIO, which includes the responsibility for directing and enhancing IT infrastructure. Swenson’s background includes over 30 years of experiences running IT operations; his last job was as CIO of technology solutions provider Vology, Inc.

“Andy understands the importance of data and analytics to our business, and we expect him to make significant contributions to out continued development in that area, in addition to serving as a senior member of our leadership team,” says John Forney, CEO of UPC, in a release.

UPC is a holding company and P&C insurer that has agents in Fla, Mass, R.I., N.J., N.C., S.C., and is licensed to write in N.H. and Texas.
