Unitrin will implement Guidewire Software's ClaimCenter to improve the financial services company's end-to-end claims adjusting processes, reduce claims costs and enhance customer service, stated a Guidewire press release. San Mateo, Calif.-based Guidewire's ClaimCenter is a Web-based, end-to-end claims system for property & casualty and workers' compensation insurance.
With the adoption of ClaimCenter, Chicago-based Unitrin's P&C companies -- Kemper, Unitrin Direct and Unitrin Specialty -- will share a common claims platform across the organization.
According to the release, ClaimCenter will help Unitrin shorten claim cycle times, reduce adjuster training times, provide online assistance tailored to individual adjuster needs, improve adjuster productivity, and enable more efficient and consistent processes.
ClaimCenter's business rules enable claims organizations to optimize and monitor the claim process. Claims executives can define, enforce, and continually refine their preferred claim handling practices.
