Vitria & SCSI Partner for P&C

In response to property and casualty carriers' needs for enterprise-wide information architecture solutions, Systems Consulting Services, Inc. (SCSI, Ellicott City, MD) and Vitria (Sunnyvale, CA) will combine Vitria's Business Ware, an integration server, with SCSI's Business Information Analysis System (BIAS). This combination is intended to enable online retrieval of risk information.

"Customers that use the combined Vitria/SCSI solution will have the ability to migrate to an environment where they can integrate applications and automate mission-critical business processes within and across the extended enterprise," says Ken Wayman, president, SCSI.

Looking to enter the P&C market, Vitria-which was impressed with BIAS-approached SCSI to partner. SCSI's BIAS product is a crucial offering for effective real-time information management, according to Martin Doettling, vice president of marketing, Vitria.

SCSI believe Vitria's existing partnerships further enhance its offerings. "We believe that Vitria has developed partner relationships that provide our potential customers with a greater range of off-the-shelf capabilities than do other companies," Doettling says.
