Tampa, Fla.-based WellCare, an administrator of government-sponsored healthcare programs, has selected ikaMedicareGateway, a new cloud-based Medicare enrollment system from Southborough, Mass.-based ikaSystems.
The system will help WellCare automate complex data exchanges with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, new member applications and current member plan changes, the companies say in a statement. Agents and brokers will also be able to verify beneficiary eligibility in real time.
“WellCare understands the importance of a seamless enrollment and plan change process, and ikaMedicareGateway will facilitate continued improvement in member satisfaction,” Walt Cooper, chief administrative officer for WellCare, says in a statement. “Equally important for WellCare, this new technology enables us to reduce administrative costs and sustain significant focus on regulatory compliance.”
