Willis Re Launches Next-Gen Portfolio Management Platform

Insurance carriers that adopt Willis Re's conNext single Web-based platform for portfolio management can dispense with multiple, disparate products for mapping, reporting and performance monitoring.

Willis Re Inc., the reinsurance arm of global broker Willis Group Holdings has released conNext, a Web-based portfolio management and risk analysis solution that supports analysts, risk managers and corporate executives in quantifying exposure, evaluating underwriting effectiveness and planning for catastrophic events. The solution includes the industry's first online "what-if" scenario modeling capability, according to the vendor.

By providing comprehensive capabilities in a single platform, Willis conNext simplifies risk analysis and enables insurance carriers to dispense with multiple, disparate platforms for mapping, reporting, analysis and performance monitoring, according to Julie Serakos, executive vice president, Willis Re. conNext's scalable architecture and a consolidated data source for exposure and modeled loss, enables users to navigate seamlessly from dashboards to scorecards, and to detailed reports and analysis, without being forced to access multiple tools or systems or manage integration of dissimilar systems, according to a vendor product description.

"conNext is an all-encompassing portfolio management system, housed within Willis" comments Serakos. "We upload insurers' policy information—their portfolio of policies, and all of the details down to the street address of all the insured properties, policy terms and conditions and reinsurance terms. We have also included the CAT modeling results from AIR and RMS."
