Zurich Financial Services Signs With CSC

Zurich Financial Services expanded its relationship with CSC after recently signing a six-year base period contract, at an estimated value of $399 million, with the Austin, Texas-based IT services company.

Under the new contract, CSC will assume responsibility for the provision of Zurich's electronic Workplace (eWP) desktop services -- including global service desk, local on-site support and software packaging and distribution -- to its businesses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Spain.

CSC already provides application development and support services to Zurich's businesses in the US, UK, Switzerland and Germany under a seven-year global IT applications outsourcing contract signed in July 2004.
