Zurich Names New Chief Claims Officer for North America

Global property/casualty carrier Zurich has named Steve Hatch Chief Claims Officer for North America. Hatch previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Zurich in North America's (Schaumburg, Ill.) Claims unit, a role he held since joining Zurich in June 2008.

Hatch began his career with GAB Robins, a third-party claims administrator, and subsequently started his own business servicing commercial customers. Prior to joining Zurich, he spent nearly 20 years with United Services Automobile Association. During his tenure at USAA, Hatch led various areas of the technical claims operation and was responsible for developing strategy, policies and procedures for all areas of the business.

Zurich in North America is a part of Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich), an insurance-based financial services provider with a global network of subsidiaries and offices in North America and Europe as well as in Asia Pacific, Latin America and other markets.
