Allianz Appoints Life Distribution Head
Minneapolis-based Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has named Janelle Walter director of life insurance sales in the marketing division.
Walter, who had been a marketing manager before this promotion, will be responsible for developing and executing life insurance marketing strategies, reporting to Allianz Life VP of distribution marketing Doug Koenen.
“Janelle’s ability to manage multiple initiatives, consistently deliver first class marketing collateral, and build collaborative relationships has been the key to helping drive our life insurance business,” Koenen says in a statement. “With her proven results, we look forward to her leadership in continuously enhancing our life insurance marketing strategies.”
Allianz has beefed up its sales and marketing functions many times this year. It named Lisa Hoene senior director of market management, responsible for customer experience and customer intelligence, in January; and Emily Reitan senior director of Strategy and Business Development, responsible for market and business development strategy, marketing planning and the company's retirement strategy, last month.
